Poodwaddle World Clock - Population The world population is growing by more than 80 million per year.
World Clock / Population Clock
The Population Clock utilizes data from the UN Population Division. The UNPD demographers (population statisticians) estimate that the world is growing by 1.18% (over 80 million people) per year. They project that this trend will gradually stabilize and in many regions they predict population decline. Even China will likely peak in 40 years. Africa, however, is not expected to slow it's growth. By the end of the century 40% of the world's population will be in Africa.
